ORGANIZE A FUNDRAISING DRIVE
Organize your co-workers, colleagues, friends, family, classmates or fellow parishioners and organize a drive to benefit older adults in your community. Come up with a team name, work towards a goal, and if applicable, tell us a story about a person that inspired your team.

Some ideas of drives for PSC include:

Holiday Gifts for the Homebound
Each holiday, PSC collects items for our clients who are home-bound. We seek corporate partners who can help us collect items on our “wish list” for these clients. A list will be provided, and your company can break down the items by agent or by office. Each bundle is provided to our members and clients free of charge.

Jeans Day
Let your employees wear jeans to work, or dress down on Fridays during a set month. Collect a small donation of $1, $3 or $5 from everyone who participates and donate the proceeds to PSC. PSC will list the name of your company in our newsletter, Newsline.

Sponsor a Collection
Ask your colleagues to join you in raising money to sponsor a specific program or service – sponsor meals for a month at PSC, donate money to pay for 10 fans, or sponsor the 2008 air conditioning campaign. Request information from PSC to distribute to your co-workers, including fact sheets and appeal letters, and begin fundraising.

SELL PSC MERCHANDISE & TICKETS
PSC can provide you with lanyards, tee-shirts, coolers and other merchandise to raise money for our programs and services. PSC also sells tickets to Disney on Ice and Sesame Street Live. We secure the best seats in the house for both shows – and we rely on word of mouth through our corporate partners to sell out more than 600 tickets.

PRESENT A WORKSHOP
PSC sponsors more than 80 classes, activities and workshops per week. PSC is always seeking partners to present programs that would be of interest and benefit to our clients and members. Partnership opportunities exist to sponsor and/or present these programs and activities. If you have an idea for a specialized workshop or activity based on your business or service, please call us to discuss your idea.

SPONSOR A BUS TRIP OR RIDE
PSC coordinates and provides an average of 6,000 rides per year to seniors. With the cost of gas on the rise, help seniors by providing a week or month of trips by sponsoring our PSC mini-bus. For larger sponsorship opportunities, sponsor one of our monthly bus trips to a local museum, casino or restaurant. In June, September and December, PSC holds three large bus signature bus trips that are underwritten by corporate and private support. Please inquire about the upcoming travel and trip schedule.

SPREAD THE WORD
PSC depends on community members to spread the word about our services by distributing flyers and brochures, forwarding emails and sharing our programs and services with others. Currently, PSC has kicked off a $250,000 campaign for a new HVAC system and we need your help to spread the word. This fall and winter, PSC needs your help to sell out nearly 1,000 tickets to the best seats in the house to Disney on Ice. Every spring, PSC secures the best seats in the house to Sesame Street Live. PSC newsletters are available for distribution all year long.
